A pebble of light placed on the wall. The sconce creates a dome of smoked acrylic that seems to hold back the light before releasing it ever so gently. When off, it displays a translucent gray hue that catches the reflections of the room. When lit, the material glows with an amber halo, warm and subdued, like a tamed ember behind thick glass.
It all comes down to a minimalist gesture. The compact, rounded aluminum body fades into the background, giving way to the domed lens that draws the eye. Light escapes upwards and downwards, sculpting the wall with a play of shadows and glows.
