Customer — Any professional or individual with legal capacity under Articles 1123 et seq. of the French Civil Code, or any legal entity, who visits the website referred to herein.
Services — The website https://sovala.fr makes available to Customers products and services related to lighting and luminous interior design.
Content — All elements constituting the information present on the website, including texts, images and videos.
Customer Information — Hereinafter referred to as "Information", meaning all personal data that may be held by Sovala for account management, customer relationship management and statistical analysis purposes.
User — Any internet user connecting to and using the aforementioned website.
Personal Information — "Information that allows, in any form whatsoever, directly or indirectly, the identification of the natural persons to whom it applies" (Article 4 of Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978).
The terms "personal data", "data subject", "processor" and "sensitive data" have the meaning defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR: No. 2016-679).

This website constitutes an intellectual work protected by the provisions of the French Intellectual Property Code and applicable international regulations. The Customer may not in any way reuse, assign or exploit for their own account all or part of the elements or works on the website.
Use of the website https://sovala.fr implies full and unconditional acceptance of the general terms of use described below. These terms of use may be modified or supplemented at any time; users are therefore invited to consult them on a regular basis.
This website is normally accessible to users at all times. A temporary interruption for technical maintenance may however be decided; in such cases, the publisher will endeavour to communicate the dates and times of the intervention to users in advance. The website is updated regularly. Similarly, these terms may be modified at any time and are binding on the user, who is invited to refer to them as often as possible.

The website https://sovala.fr aims to provide information about all of the company's activities. Sovala strives to provide information on the website that is as accurate as possible. However, it cannot be held responsible for omissions, inaccuracies or shortcomings in updates, whether caused by itself or by third-party partners providing information.
All information provided on the website is given for informational purposes only and may be subject to change. Furthermore, the information on the website is not exhaustive and is provided subject to modifications made since it was published online.
04.Contractual Limitations on Technical Data
The website uses JavaScript technology. The website cannot be held liable for material damage resulting from the use of the website. Furthermore, users agree to access the website using up-to-date equipment free of viruses, with a current, updated browser.
The goal is to provide a service ensuring the highest possible level of accessibility. The host ensures the continuity of its service 24 hours a day, every day of the year. It nevertheless reserves the right to interrupt the hosting service for the shortest possible periods, particularly for maintenance, infrastructure improvements, infrastructure failure, or if the services generate abnormal traffic.
05.Intellectual Property and Counterfeiting
Sovala owns the intellectual property rights and holds usage rights over all elements accessible on the website, including texts, images, graphics, logos, videos, icons and sounds. Any reproduction, representation, modification, publication or adaptation of all or part of the website's elements, by any means or process whatsoever, is prohibited without prior written authorisation from Sovala.
Any unauthorised use of the website or any of its elements will be considered an infringement and prosecuted in accordance with Articles L.335-2 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code.
06.Limitation of Liability
Sovala acts as the publisher of the website. Sovala is responsible for the quality and accuracy of the content it publishes.
Sovala cannot be held liable for direct or indirect damage caused to the user's equipment when accessing the website, resulting either from the use of equipment that does not meet the specifications set out in point 4, or from the occurrence of a bug or incompatibility.
Sovala shall not be held liable for indirect damages (such as loss of market or loss of opportunity) resulting from use of the website. Interactive spaces (the ability to ask questions in the contact area) are available to users. Sovala reserves the right to remove, without prior notice, any content posted in this space that would violate applicable law in France, in particular provisions relating to data protection.
07.Personal Data Management
The Customer is informed of the regulations concerning marketing communications, the Law of 21 June 2014 on confidence in the digital economy, the Data Protection Act of 6 August 2004, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR: No. 2016-679).
7.1 — Personal Data Controllers
For personal data collected in connection with the creation of the User's personal account and their browsing on the website, the data controller is: Sovala.
As the controller of the data it collects, Sovala undertakes to comply with the applicable legal framework. This includes establishing the purposes of its data processing activities, providing its prospects and customers with complete information on the processing of their personal data upon collecting their consent, and maintaining a processing register that accurately reflects reality.
7.2 — Purposes of Data Collection
Sovala may process all or part of the data:
- to enable browsing on the website and to manage and track the services and orders placed: connection and usage data, billing, order history, etc.;
- to prevent and combat computer fraud (spam, hacking, etc.): hardware used for browsing, IP address, password (hashed);
- to improve website browsing: connection and usage data;
- to conduct optional satisfaction surveys via contact@sovala.fr;
- to conduct communication campaigns (SMS, email) via contact@sovala.fr.
Sovala does not sell your personal data, which is used solely out of necessity or for statistical and analytical purposes.
7.3 — Right of Access, Rectification and Opposition
In accordance with applicable European regulations, Users have the following rights:
- right of access (Article 15 GDPR) and rectification (Article 16 GDPR), updating and completion;
- right to erasure (Article 17 GDPR) when data is inaccurate, incomplete, ambiguous, outdated or prohibited;
- right to withdraw consent at any time (Article 13-2c GDPR);
- right to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR);
- right to object (Article 21 GDPR);
- right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR);
- right to define how data is handled after death.

Requests for deletion of personal data will be subject to legal retention and archiving obligations. Users may also file a complaint with the relevant data protection authority (CNIL in France).
7.4 — Non-Disclosure of Personal Data
Sovala undertakes to take all necessary precautions to preserve the security of information and ensure it is not communicated to unauthorised parties. However, if an incident affecting the integrity or confidentiality of Customer information comes to Sovala's attention, Sovala will inform the Customer as soon as possible and communicate the corrective measures taken.
Users' personal data may be processed by service providers (sub-processors) solely to fulfil the purposes of this policy. Within their respective remits, those with potential access to User data are primarily customer service staff.
08.Incident Notification
Despite all efforts, no method of transmission over the Internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security breach, we will notify the affected users so they can take appropriate measures.
No personal information belonging to a user is published without their knowledge, exchanged, transferred, assigned or sold on any medium to third parties. Only in the event of a purchase of Sovala and its rights would the said information be transferred to the potential acquirer, who would in turn be bound by the same data retention and modification obligations towards the user.
Security
To ensure the security and confidentiality of personal data, Sovala uses networks protected by standard security measures such as firewalls, pseudonymisation, encryption and passwords.
09.Hyperlinks, Cookies and Internet Tags
The website may contain a number of hyperlinks to other websites. However, Sovala has no means of verifying the content of those websites and therefore accepts no liability in this regard.
Unless you choose to disable cookies, you accept that the website may use them. You may disable cookies at any time free of charge through your browser settings, though this may reduce or prevent access to some or all of the services offered by the website.
9.1 — Cookies
A cookie is a small information file sent to the User's browser and stored on the User's device (computer, smartphone), hereinafter "Cookies". Cookies facilitate navigation and/or the provision of services offered by the website. The User may configure their browser to accept or refuse cookies, or to be notified before a cookie is stored.
If cookies are refused or deleted, the User is informed that their browsing experience on the website may be limited. Sovala accepts no liability for the consequences of degraded website and service performance resulting from the refusal of cookies.
9.2 — Internet Tags
Sovala may occasionally use internet tags and deploy them via a web analytics partner. This technology is used to evaluate visitor responses to the website and the effectiveness of its actions (for example, the number of times a page is opened and the information consulted), as well as the User's use of the website.
10.Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
Any dispute relating to the use of the website https://sovala.fr is subject to French law. Except where prohibited by law, exclusive jurisdiction is granted to the competent courts.
11.Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with applicable legal provisions (Articles L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, as amended by Ordinance No. 2026-2 of 5 January 2026 transposing EU Directive 2023/2673), the consumer benefits from a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of receipt of their order, without having to provide any reason.
11.1 — Exercising the right of withdrawal online (primary method)
In accordance with Article L.221-21 of the French Consumer Code, Sovala provides consumers with an electronic withdrawal feature accessible directly from the website, without requiring a customer account login.
This feature allows the consumer to exercise their right of withdrawal in two steps: confirming the request and entering the relevant order information. An acknowledgement of receipt is automatically sent by email upon validation of the request.
11.2 — Exercising the right of withdrawal by email (alternative method)

11.3 — Product return conditions
Following a withdrawal request, the Sovala customer service team will communicate the return instructions to the consumer, including the applicable return address depending on the country of delivery and the supplier concerned. The return address is communicated individually by the customer service team, as it may vary depending on the market and the product.
The product(s) concerned must be returned in their original condition as soon as possible and no later than 14 days following communication of the withdrawal decision. Sovala will process the refund within 14 days of receipt of the request, subject to recovery of the product or provision of proof of shipment.
12.Bank Charges Related to Payment
When paying by bank card, some financial institutions may apply additional charges on top of the order amount, such as international transaction fees, currency conversion fees or various commissions. These charges are applied directly by the Customer's bank and are not the responsibility of Sovala.
Committed to offering its customers a smooth and transparent shopping experience, Sovala undertakes to fully cover any such bank charges.
Customers wishing to obtain reimbursement are invited to contact the customer service team at contact@sovala.fr, attaching supporting documentation showing the amount of charges applied (a screenshot of the bank statement or banking app).
After verification, Sovala's finance team will proceed with a full refund of the charges identified, to the payment method used at the time of the order, as soon as possible.
