Chandeliers
How to choose your chandelier?
Start with the size of the room. A simple guide: add its length and width in metres, then multiply by 10 to get a suggested diameter in centimetres. A room measuring 4 m by 5 m therefore calls for a chandelier of around 90 cm. Then look at the ceiling height: keep at least 2.10 m of clearance under the light in a room people walk through.
Which chandelier for which room?
In the living room, the chandelier becomes the focal point of the decor. In the bedroom, choose a warm light and a more modestly sized model. Above a dining table, centre it and leave around 75 to 90 cm between the bottom of the chandelier and the tabletop.
